Queen Elizabeth II
February 6th 2022, will see Queen Elizabeth II celebrate 70 years on the throne – the only monarch to ever reach their Platinum Jubilee!
Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne at the age of 25, following the death of her father, King George VI. Upon hearing the news while on a state visit to Kenya she returned to the UK to take up her role as Queen of Great Britain and the Head of the Commonwealth.
The Queen has been present throughout the highs and lows of the country while acting as a steadfast figurehead for the past 70 years. She is still undertaking hundreds of engagements each year while also acting as Royal Patron or President of over 600 charities, military associations, professional bodies and public service organisations.
The Queen will remain true to tradition and mark the anniversary of her ascension privately at her Sandringham estate, as it was revealed that she finds the day to be full of mixed emotion – this year significantly more following the loss of her husband, Prince Philip.
Trait to look out for: The Queen has been an inspiration to all after dedicating her life to the service of the Commonwealth at the age of 21. She has shown herself to be hardworking, dependable, and dedicated.
Steven Bartlett has become a household name this month after becoming the youngest Dragon on BBC One’s Dragons Den.
Steven first came to the public’s attention after founding Social Chain in 2014, at the age of 21. Social Chain came around after Steven dropped out of Manchester Metropolitan University after one day and set up Social Chain from his bedroom with two friends.
After taking the company public Steven and his co-founders left the company to pursue new interests which have included a bestselling book and podcast along with taking a prestigious seat alongside the other Dragon’s.
